Very surprised this has been open for almost 2 years now. As a new user, I was coming here to suggest it myself.

Ability to add an Outlook calendar invite to an email sequence
R
Robert Delozier
We would like to add an Outlook calendar invite to an email sequence so that clients/prospects could download the event we are marketing to their calendars.
I talked to the customer service line and they said we could add a button to the email. However, the only options on the button are a link and a file. The file option could work for what we're trying to accomplish, if an .ics file (outlook calendar invite) was an approved file type.
Creating the .ics itself is quite a challenge with the new Outlook. I had to switch to the old outlook to be able to forward the event as an .ics file to myself, then download the file to try and upload. Only to see it is not an approved file type.

Lucas Jans, VP of Product Is there a way we can continue to upvote this so it keeps making progress towards the top of the list? I just sent this email to our FMG contact but came here to add it to this thread. "Hi, Daniel. We’ve found a way to include ‘add to calendar’ links but the FMG template won’t accommodate links in the registration details section. Are we able to customize the RSVP series that is triggered after someone registers for an Event? If it means we have to create our own template series and cadence, that’s fine, but we want to make sure that it becomes the default for all ARS Events or we at least have the option to choose our template series as we create each event." Even just making the Details For People Who Register section able to accept links with custom labels (i.e., create our own text name for the underlying URL) would solve the problem for us. Ideally, of course, it should be engineered into your templates. Thanks!

When the registration confirmation for an event is sent out, it should include an 'add to calendar' option.

This should already be added... it is crazy every other platform has this capability but we are required to use this...

This is critical functionality that is widely available on other platforms. I agree, it is needed.
