Feature request — developer API for content library and social publishing
Hi FMG team, I'm an Equitable Advisors rep using FMG Suite as my content and social publishing platform. I'm writing to request a capability that I believe would benefit both individual advisors and firms using programmatic workflows on top of FMG. The gap: Today, content library access and social publishing are only available through the FMG web interface. There's no self-serve developer API to programmatically pull library content, submit custom content for scheduling, or trigger publish actions. Advisors who use AI tools or internal automation to draft content have no way to connect that drafting layer to FMG's compliant publishing and archiving layer — everything requires manual copy/paste into the UI. What I'd like to see: Read API — pull Content Library items (titles, body, tags, approved status) so an external tool can select and stage content for use. Draft-submission API — push a custom-drafted post into FMG as a pending item in the existing scheduler/queue, so it still routes through whatever approval and archiving workflow the account already uses. Not a bypass — a submission endpoint, same as pasting into the UI does today. Status/webhook — a way to check or be notified when a submitted item is approved, published, or rejected, so an external system can close the loop without polling the UI. Why this matters: Advisors are increasingly using AI to help draft compliant, on-brand content faster. Right now that value is capped at the point where a human has to manually move the draft into FMG. A narrow, read/submit-only API — one that still requires everything to land in FMG's normal approval and archive pipeline — would let advisors move faster without weakening any of the compliance controls that make FMG valuable to broker-dealers in the first place. I'd guess I'm not the only advisor asking for this as AI drafting tools become more common in the industry. Happy to be a beta tester or provide more detail on the workflow if useful. Thanks, Kristian Nilsen Equitable Advisors
