Is there any update on this? Do we need to rally at FOCUS? lol

FMG is first and foremost and email management solution. Many redtail users come to FMG exclusively to manage broadcast email with an extensive compliant article database.
Now that we can let our clients subscribe to over 20 newsletters (which is amazing), it is more important than EVER that those clients can unsubscribe from those newsletters and NOT all of our emails. This has been the most requested feature on this forum since Feb 2023, and it is remarkable that it isn't a feature considering every competitor from Levitate to MailChimp to EZMailBlast have this feature included, some on their free versions.

User Opt-in to Email Communication Groups

With the SPAM changes introduced by Gmail and Yahoo, it's more important than ever to make sure we segment our contacts based on the types of emails they would like to receive. To that end, I think it would be helpful to everyone if FMG allowed users to select specific types of emails they wish to receive when they sign up using the "Join Mailing List" form. This involves creating a form with checkboxes or dropdown options representing different email categories (custom groups) (e.g., Office Updates, Educational Event Invitations, Timely Articles). Users can then choose the categories they are interested in, and their preferences will determine the groups they are added to in the FMG system.
I've attached a Feature Enhancement Proposal to help with the details of this suggestion. Thank you for your consideration!

The solution seems straight forward. 2 or 3 unsubscribe links. 1 link that says unsubscribe from all email communications, 1 link that says unsubscribe from all but the most vital, an a link that says unsubscribe from this particular email category.
As a patch until the system can be fully operational the unsubscribe can create an inbox email in FMG to inform the advisor take action to manually untag them from that email group. So the holiday email group gets holiday emails.

Thanks for commenting Nathaniel Running - this is one of our most popular requests and something we will definitely tackle in the future. We are focusing on our Instagram integration right now but will keep this updated when we make progress.

Lucas Jans, VP of Product: guess you don’t understand that your customers may consider this to be MORE important than further integrations!

1.5 years later, with over 20 additional newsletters we can let clients subscribe to (and unsubscribing will unsubscribe them from every email we ever send), still no movement on this.

If there was a way that clients could choose what kind of emails they opt out of that would be great. Such as Marketing, Investments, events, meetings, etc.

Need to be able to manage subscriptions to multiple email lists.

We need to manage email list subscriptions/unsubscribes by list. Right now on FMG if a client unsubscribes from a monthly newsletter or other ad hoc article we send they no longer can receive their Annual Review email to schedule a time, and other vital messages. We are also creating lists by niche and interest so we can send much more relevant information and want to manage different lists. Having to use an outside vendor for this is vary sad and creates much more work.

The unsubscribe option should only be for that specific communication. So, if someone no longer wishes to receive a weekly email and they unsubscribe, they should still be able to receive their birthday greeting unless they unsubscribe from that specific communication as well at the time they receive it.
