Sometimes it is an assistant who is working on website. It is very difficult, if authentication always goes to email, as account holder is not always available. Allow authentication via text or phone call, so a office phone number can be used.

Definitely an annoyance. 30 minutes is too short - should be able to check a box to authenticate a device and not have to continue to re-authenticate unless the cookie has been deleted

One point of clarification - you will only be asked to enter your MFA credentials after you log out or after 4 idle hours. We are working to extend the idle timeout.

Lucas Jans, VP of Product I could not agree more with this thread.... This is soooo stupid. I totally get the need for MFA but you should have a remember me check box like EVERY other tech website there is. The only way you need to re auth is if you clear history and cookies or dont check the box. We use so many more webiste that would need higher security then this that are easier to get in. Also I can not beleve that I need yet antoher user and pass for this feedback site and my FMG user and pass dont work. I need antoher user name and password said no one ever...... Please fix this.....

YES! Just came to add this feedback, glad someone else has already complained. Was trying to figure out how to turn this off and can't. Did not have to do this before... why start now? Wtf. Were our clients emails previously not secure?
I agree that no back up authentication in case we can't access our email is absurd. It's a waste of time to need to do it every time. Normally, these things recognize at least that you're logging in on the same device and you only have to do 2 factor if you're logging in on a new device.

Renee Walter I realize that MFA is a frustrating additional step in the login process. We agree, the MFA process is annoying, but we felt it was necessary to protect our users.
* Enhanced Security. MFA significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access. Even if your password is compromised, the additional verification step ensures that only you can access your account.
* Protection Against Phishing and Credential Theft. MFA helps protect against common attacks by requiring a second form of authentication. Your FMG account contains important information for your business, and we want to honor that.
We hope to make the MFA process smoother in the future with alternative methods, like SMS or Authenticator.

We are working on adding alternative forms of authentication, possibly SMS Text or Authenticator.
You mentioned that your firm uses its own MFA. Can you describe how this works so we can consider it?
