If FMG could actually write a compliance-approve subject line for us that we could use, as opposed to, “LPL Research Special Client Letter (Ghostwritten),” then we would be able to send it out without requesting compliance approval. But as it stands, if we modify that subject, we must receive a compliance approval prior to it being sent out, which negates the value of pre-approval. As we’ve experienced, if we decide to send something out after 12 PM on Friday, it’s unlikely that the compliance department will approve it.
